Lets face it, Adult Acne Sucks!

I should know, I suffered through almost 20 years of adult acne from the ages of 15 to 34 years old. It was devastating for me. Finding acne remedies that worked was a lot of work.

I was once a very outgoing entertaining, enthusiastic child until the onset of acne in my middle teens.

The thing about acne - and adult acne is that it is an equal opportuity deisease. It affects, ,men, women, rich, poor, black, white  you name it.

For me it was awful. It made me depressed. It ruined my social life - I became an introvert. And it only became worse the older I got. Having acne as teenager s one thing, but to be a man in my 30's and still struggling with the condition is something else all together.

Now in my 40's I have a handle on it, but the damage was already done. The best years of my life were spent in a HELL that was brought on by bad skin. The emotional toll that the disease took on was awful -- I will never have those years back.

The good news is that now, there are so many treatments for adult acne, that were not available to me when I was suffering from it. I spent almost 20 years taking antibiotics such as Tetracycline   Erythromycin,  Minocycline,  Doxycycline

And they never really worked. Who knows what kind of damage all those antibiotics did to my system that I don't even know about yet.

So what we plan on doing here is going through as many adult acne treatments, cures and medications as we can and try to figure out what works best and what doesn't for you. Maybe you can find some good home remedies for acne.

I am not a doctor, just someone who can identify how hard it is to live with acne and breakouts.

I wish there was a magic bullet that worked well for everyone. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Treating acne successfully is really a process of trial and error. I know, I spent many years and thousands of dollars in my search for a cure for acne.

You have to wake up in the morning with a No Quit attitude about treating your acne symptoms. You have to fight.
